Jack Josephs

Club Professional

Jack’s career in Real Tennis started at Middlesex University Real Tennis Club in April 2021, as the first recruit on the new Investing in Professionals programme. Jack had never played Real Tennis before, but was a strong Table Tennis player competing on the national circuit from a young age. Jack also gained valuable international experience playing Table Tennis and he was hungry to take on a fresh challenge.

Jack has ambitious targets within the sport and is highly motivated to improve every day. He joined the team at RTC on a full-time basis in April 2022 and since then, he has benefitted from a restructure in his technique from head professional Nick Wood who has already helped Jack to build the foundations for a strong playing career in the sport. Jack plays with an open stance and is currently playing in the National League Division 5, having won division 7 with Middlesex University and taking home the most valuable player award in the previous season.

Jack is thoroughly enjoying his club duties and is thriving in his role as junior professional. In September 2020, Jack graduated from the Nottingham University Business School with a First-Class Honours degree in Industrial Economics, and started his own business running 5-a-side football leagues. His passion for sport, care for people and good business acumen will stand him in good stead to help keep the club thriving. Jack has already formed a strong bond with many of the RTC members and is determined to help improve the members’ experience at RTC.
